Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American performer and actor who began her career with clever hip-hop raps that addressed racial and sexuality with an edgy and humorous perspective. Her career then grew to Hollywood. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents in Forest Hills Queens her first musical experience came with the trumpet. The musician also had classical and jazz training later exploring hip-hop in her teenager. When she was in college, she was focusing in her studies, pursuing a degree in both journalism and women's issues. In a short period that was spent in Beijing and she also took classes in Mandarin. After graduation, she began to focus on music. After making headlines through the Internet and her own song My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually became a part of her first album Yellow Ranger. Other hits on the internet that were viral include Queef song and the winking NYC Bitche$ hometown tour. It was also included in Awkwafina's NYC tour guide that was released in 2015. She decided to pursue acting career after having completed her two previous initiatives, as a writer and musician. Apart from early series such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films such as Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. She made her debut in 2018 and appeared in several prominent films, like Dude Ocean's 8, as well as Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP,"In Fina We Trust in June of the same year.
