The Huffington Post says that in 2012, Cross and Tamblyn shared their first meeting with a New York audience at a comedy show. Amber Tamblyn posted via Instagram that she welcomed a girl, her first baby, along with David Cross. Cross married Tamblyn in 2012. The couple would later announce the birth of their first child, a girl, in the early part of 2017. Cross, nearly 20 years older than Tamblyn, got married to the actress in 2012. In the following year, the couple would announce their first daughter's birth in 2017.

The proud father announced on Instagram that the couple welcomed their son Maverick Smith on 20 August. It was born at Round Rock's 12:45 pm CT and measured 20 inches. Maverick was weighed 7 pounds. Amber Heard has a calm life despite her exhausting trial in the case of Johnny Depp. In Spain she's quite quiet and has a child and is away from the spotlight.
