Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden, born August 14, 1959 in La Jolla (California), was the third child of five. Beverly Bushfield, her mother was a housewife as Thad Harold Harden was in the army. Family members moved often. In the time they resided in Greece, she became interested in theater, and she attended Athens shows. Harden was a student at American Universities in Europe before returning to the US after 1983 to continue her education at the University of Texas. She obtained an MFA at NYU and began her career as an actor. Harden had already appeared in the film in 1986, The Imagemaker, but her first major role was in Miller's Crossing, the Coen Brothers humorous, witty tribute to the gangster genre. Harden got a positive review for her performance in the movie, which was sexy and raunchy as Verna who was a seductive and difficult-to-control moll. Harden then worked in supporting parts. Harden was the lead character in Ava Gardner, a TV biopic based on Frank Sinatra. Marcia Marcia Marcia
